The fact that the Cawthorn gave himself several months to develop what appears to be the final iteration is a good sign, and hopefully the series can end on a high-note. Scott Cawthon's development cycle is possibly the fastest ever for a hit videogame series, with the fourth Five Nights at Freddy's game set to arrive close to a year after the first launched the property into the limelight. There's also some subtle text at the bottom that appears to read out 'NIGHTMARE', which is a pleasant way of saying the game will still be as scary as ever. The full teaser image ( click here) also reveals that the release date for Five Nights at Freddy's 4: The Final Chapter is tentatively scheduled for Halloween 2015. The teaser image released by Cawthon certainly raises questions about the fourth game, particularly because it features a weathered Freddy Fazbear with sharp screws for fingers and body patched up with other Fazbear heads (or are they tiny Fazbears crawling out of him? Either way, it's terrifying).
